Advice needed from a musician/music aficionado
Is there a name for the little “musical flourish” found at the end of certain songs that don’t seem very connected to the rest of the track? It seems limited to older romantic pop ballads. They happen after the beat has stopped, and frequently contains a rising punctuating series of notes on a string instrument.
It’s like a little decorative bow tied onto the rest of the song. You can find one here, and Komar & Melamid included one in their excellent The People’s Choice Music project.
